The formulation of material properties plays a pivotal role in every
finite element simulation. Therefore, this module teaches you the
fundamental principles in continuum mechanics. You will learn to
differentiate material categories and to formulate necessary equations
for a material description. We will familiarize you with the selection
of adequate material models and their application to engineering
problems, especially for stress analysis and structural evaluation.
