Allgemeine Informationen rund um die Kurse von D. Zdetski
- Dozent/in: Dennis Zdetski
Future automotive safety systems highly depend on the vehicle’s ability to correctly perceive the environment. For this purpose, several different sensor technologies are employed with their advantages and issues. Especially regarding adverse weather scenarios, the sensors’ performance is affected, depending on the used technology.
In this project multiple sensors like radar, camera, ultrasonic and infrared sensors will be evaluated regarding their resilience towards rain, fog, lighting and other challenging scenarios. The tasks will be:
- Sensor synchronization and implementation of a reference
- Sensor setup and positioning
- Sensor control, data handling and signal processing
- Development of evaluation criteria
- Definition of scenarios
The final goal will be to detect and measure objects, like an approaching vehicle, and assess the performance under adverse conditions.
